Fabulous Friday Fun

This has been quite a week in New Hampshire! The weather has been absolutely FABULOUS!! Sunny and warm...yipee!!

I have a few errands today that will have me out enjoying the lovely weather today. I do have to finish preparing for a class on Sunday and workshop on Monday but perhaps I can do some of that out doors as well!

I am still having fun with all the cool stuff I learned at Spring Fling last week! My friend Dorene Decibus demonstrated all kinds of fun things to do with chipboard. Here she used a circle of chipboard and covered it with craft white ink. When it was dry (you can hurry it along a bit by heat setting it) she stamped the flower on in Stazon black ink and then colored the flower to match the card. It stands out from the rest of the card just enough to highlight the flower!

This one she left the chipboard plain. Did you know that it matches Sahara Sand card stock perfectly? Now you do!! So you can use chipboard pieces as frames and that sort of thing just as it is!
Also, You can use our beautiful Designer Series Papers to cover the chipboard. Our glue stick works great for that!! Just cover one side of the chipboard with glue and then lay it on the "back side" (side you don't want to show) of the DSP. Turn over and rub on the DSP to really get a good hold (the heat from the friction helps the glue set!) You can also sit on it while you finish other elements of your card or scrapbook page! Again it is the heat! Now just use you Papersnips to trim along the edge of the chipboard!
Stampin' Up! is offering a GREAT chipboard promotion for the month of May! You can check it out here. Don't miss out!! Be sure to get your chipboard in the month of MAY!!! Check back here for a Blog special as well!
Well I guess it is time to start my errands. Have a Fabulous Friday! Check back on Monday to see some of the birthday cards we are making at class on Sunday!
