Retirement List Contest

Dear Stamping Friends,
On December 1, 2007, Stampin' Up!'s list of retired stamp sets will be released. (The new Spring/Summer Collection will begin on January 1, 2008.)

For the next 10 days, I will be holding a contest. E-mail me a list of 10 stamps sets that you think will be retiring from the Fall/Winter Collection by Friday, November 30th at midnight (EST). The person who guesses the most stamp sets on the retiring list will win a $15 gift certificate from me. If there is a tie a drawing will be held to select one winner.

DO NOT INCLUDE ANY SETS FROM THE MINI CATALOGS OR ANY OF THE HOSTESS SETS!! This list is ONLY for stamps sets---NOT wheels or accessories.

Good Luck!

Stampin' Up! Demonstrators are not eligible for this contest

Stampers Showcase

This is a card that I created for a new catalog swap or some such event. I love this stamp set called Punch Pals! There are so many great images and lots of them were designed to work with the punches we carry as well. I was thrilled that it got chosen to be featured on Stampin' Up!'s Stampers Showcase. This is part of the demonstrator section of the web site and they post 3 or 4 new samples every day! This is only the second time since I've been a demonstrator that I have had a card on Stamper's Showcase.
I hope you had a happy Monday and that your Thanksgiving is wonderful. Check back for "Black Friday" specials this coming Friday. Avoid the malls shop with me and save some green on things that are black!

Frosty Card

Good afternoon! I took pictures of the card samples I got in the "Back to the Basics" swap I was in. The rules for the swap were that you had to create a card that someone just starting out could buy all the supplies including adhesive for $50 or less. It was REALLY hard!! I got some great cards though!

This one used the Frosty set $17.95, Basic Black ink pad $5.25, 2 Stampin write markers $6.50, Very Vanilla Card Stock $7.50, Assorted Card Stock that matches markers $7.95, and the Anywhere Glue Stick $3.95 for a total before S/H or taxes of $49.10!! With these supplies you could make 6 cards just like this one!

This one also used the Frosty stamp set $17.95, Night of Navy stamp pad $5.25, Real Red Stampin' Write Marker $3.25, Bashful Blue card stock $5.50, Assorted Neutrals card stock (Basic Black and Whisper White) $7.95, Signo White Gel Pen $3.95, and the 2-Way Glue Pen $3.50 for a total before S/H and taxes of $47.35! You could make about 36 cards just likethis one with the supplies listed!

So even though this was really hard it was a great thing to do! It is easy to create great cards if you don't have a budget...but that is not the way it is for many stampers! This lesson made me think about just getting started and what could someone order and have all they needed to make a great card without breaking the bank.

I will post more of these great cards soon. I also will be posting some of the cards made with a single template. My upline Lisa and I did a 10 card class based on one layout. The cards were great and everyone seemed to like them. I hope you will too!

Be sure to keep checking back here for some fabulous specials that can only be found right here! There will be a "Black Friday" special and also I will introduce "The 12 Days of Christmas".

Happy Stamping!

Happy Friday!

Wow! Even though it was a short work week for me it seemed like it took Friday forever to arrive! I sure am glad it is here!!
I think I love this set even more than the cute little truck from Loads of Love. This is from the Boatloads of Love set. I have seen so many cute cards done with it. Someone in our stamping group paired this set with the curvy words from Stem Sayings. The curves looked like waves and it just finished the card off in a fantastic way!

This particular card was part of a WOW swap at our Fall Fest. I took pictures of all the cards so I will be able to share them with you!
How cute is this?! This is another of the great Make 'N' Take projects from Fall Fest. We used the Crop-O-Dile to punch the holes in the tin bucket...soooo easy! What a fabulous tool!! The flowers are chip board and we covered pens with floral tape for the stems!
I love these quick and cute projects that make great gifts! My sister-in-law would love this. Perhaps I will make her one for Christmas!
Have a super weekend!
Go Patriots!! That is perhaps something else you should know about me...I am a HUGE New England Patriots football fan! The license plate on my van is IM4PATS. So here is cheering for another win...10-0 here we come!
Until next time...

Had Monday Off

Well, I did not have to go to my job at school today but there was still lots to do! I made pancakes for my son since we didn't have to rush for any busses and got some vacuuming done. Michael's and Joanne Fabrics were both having sales so I went and got a few bargins. Finished a few more Christmas cards and rounded up the supplies to repair Stephen's favorite blanket.
This cute little two pocket bag can be made with one sheet of 12x12 Designer Series Paper! How cute and easy!! This month all Stampin' Up!'s Double-sided Designer Series Paper is Buy 3 packages get 1 FREE. Call or e-mail me to place your order today lpstamp@verizon.net !!
Here is another cute project that uses the Designer Series paper. It also uses the Print Pattern Background Stamp. What a fun little trinket for holiday place settings or as a stocking stuffer!
I guess that this is a fine second post. I will try to post again soon.

The Very First One!

Well it seems everyone has a blog so why not me? Now I just have to figure out how to add pictures and such to make it interesting!

So that was pretty easy! This is one of the great swaps I got when I went to the Orlando Stampin' Up! Regional. I got tons of great swaps and learned so much while I was there! This card uses the Spotted Snowflake set and the Dashing Designer Series Paper. All Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper is on special for the month of November! When you purchase 3 packages the fourth one is FREE!! I have lots arriving later this week!

Time for dinner since my wonderful husband made hot roast beef subs for us!
