Wonderful Wednesday

So I had a blast stamping with my friend Janis last night! We used the Envelope Punch Board to create a box, file folder cards and a couple little holders for small post it notes and Ghirardelli chocolate squares. I think it is possible to do an entire workshop or class based on the envelope punch board. Perhaps I need to find time to schedule that or that could be the December 7th class.

So Stampin' Up! has teased us with the August promotion but I won't have details until Friday. Be sure to check here or your e-mail in box to find out the details. What I do know is that if you don't have a Big Shot yet August is the time to get it!!! If you have one already watch for some great bundles that will save you 15%!

Tuesday is the day we find out this weeks Weekly Deals. I should have posted these yesterday but time got away from me and then I went to stamp with Janis. So with out further delay here are this weeks Weekly Deals. They are available in my online store from now until Monday, August 4th.

Happy Monday

Hello on this sunny Monday!
I have already been for a short walk, cleaned up the shed we took down yesterday and with help from Stephen loaded it in my CR-V (not as spacious as my van but almost as good for hauling stuff) and took it to the dump.

Today I thought I would share a card using one of my favorite stamp sets, Work of Art. Stampin' Up! gave it to everyone that attended the catalog premiere events. I love the swooshes and have some ideas for the using this set for one of the fall cards at the Cards at Cameron's Fall Card Class on October 23rd. This card uses the Moonlight DSP stack (I LOVE the 4 1/2" x 6 1/2" size!).
The base is Smokey Slate and it also features the new 2014-2016 In Colors Lost Lagoon and Hello Honey, as well as the little flower from The Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.

I will be doing a Fun Friday drop in this coming Friday (7/25) from 3-6p. The project will use the white Stazon ink and the new Lovely Lace Embossing Folder. Stop by the screen house and check it out!

Cute colored Dots!!

So I got the idea for these cute colored dots from Deb Valder. She did a video on her blog about how to make them. They are really very easy! You will need the Stampin' Up! Silicone Craft Sheet (127853 $5.95), Crystal Effects (101055 $6.25) and a couple colors of the new Blendabilities Markers (page 212 of current Annual Catalog). You want to be sure to do this where your craft sheet will not have to be moved for at least 24 hours. Your dots may dry faster depending on how large and thick they are. So squeeze out a little Crystal Effects onto your Silicone Craft Sheet. I did several rows of small dots and then did a few larger ones too. Leave them to dry. They will be cloudy at first and clear as they dry. Once they are dry you can color them with the Blendibilities markers. I used some tiny drops of Crystal Effects to attach them to the front of the card.

The card base is Daffodil Delight and the tag is Coastal Cabana. This just felt happy for a day that started out gray and rainy!

Sea Street

So I got these done yesterday afternoon. I used 1 6x6 sheet of Maritime Designer Series Paper and the Sea Street stamp set. I added 3 sheets of Real Red card stock and some smaller pieces of Night of Navy card stock and came up with these very cute cards! I did add texture using the Decorative Dots and Stylish Stripes embossing folders to the Whisper White layers.

So tomorrow night I am going to do some Project Life Memory Keeping pages with a friend and down line. I will see what we come up with and share those on Thursday.

I have some other good news to share...I will be teaching 3 classes this fall at Cameron's Winery in Swanzey, NH! The classes are on Thursday nights and will include the Black and White Class, September 25th, Fall Card Class on October 23rd and a Holiday Gift Tag Class on November 13th. If you are local I hope you will consider coming to one or all of these classes.

Black and White Class

Okay, So it has been a long time since I posted here!! I am going to try to figure some things out to make it easier for me to post regularly. I am going to try to figure out how to attach it to my Facebook account so it will show up when I post. I intend to get samples ready ahead of time for upcoming classes so you will know what I am planning for projects.  I really want to build my business back up so I am busier stamping!
Classes and workshops are so much fun! I really miss doing workshops!! If you have hosted for me before let's do it again soon!! Stampin' Up! has introduced lots of great products and I would love to share them with you and your friends!!
The new Blendabilities markers will help you coloring and blending like a pro! These alcohol based markers come three markers to a set and include a dark, medium and light tone of the same color.
I have played a bit with different colors and different techniques and love these markers! I really feel like an artist!
The next class I have coming up is the Black and White Class on Sunday, August 10th at 1:00. This class will be held at the Hinsdale Millstream Community Center in Hinsdale, NH. I got the idea and cutting template from fellow demonstrator Deb Valder in NY. These 6 cards are very elegant and come together very quickly once you cut your 6x6 piece of Designer Series Paper. We will be using the Back to Black DSP in class.  I am hoping to get some cards made using the Maritime DSP and posted in the next couple days.

I am hoping I can get this to post in Facebook. Keep your fingers crossed!!
